Coming up in September is Beacon Pathway’s symposia series, held in Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington.
This year the symposia focus on how to address New Zealand’s housing crises: Canterbury faces a post-earthquake repair and rebuild of unprecedented scale, while Auckland needs 10,000 houses every year for the next two decades. Both cities have existing homes which are cold, damp and unhealthy.
Presentations will cover Beacon’s demonstration projects in Canterbury and Auckland, and other initiatives by industry, local and central government to improve housing in these cities.
Discussion and ideas on possible responses to the challenges in New Zealand’s two largest cities, gathered in the Auckland and Christchurch symposia, will be taken to the Wellington symposium.
A number of free registrations are available for CBANZ members in Canterbury – simply mention your CBANZ membership when signing up for the Christchurch Event.
Please contact Glenda Lock firstname.lastname@example.org or 09 522 5170 to register your place at the symposia.
