Our Board of Directors

To advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of  Certified Builders Association of NZ so as to support the organization’s mission and needs.

We are proud to present the Certified Builders Association of New Zealand’s Board of Directors:

	CHAIRMAN Dave Brown – Taylor and Brown Builders Ltd I have been building for over 35 years specialising mainly in residential renovations. This is my third term on the CBANZ Board. Prior to that I helped establish the Auckland committee and served as president for four years.
	NORTHERN REGION Mark Dobbs – md construction Having completed my carpentry apprenticeship in 1992, and working around the world.  I started my own company md construction in 1998, joining CBANZ in 2001 and being elected as Whangarei president (2004 – 2008) and member of the board since 2008.
	AUCKLAND REGION Dave Whitehead – Lifebuilt Construction/Joinery I have worked in the industry since 1993 working predominately in residential new builds & alterations on the Hibiscus Coast. In 1998 I went out by myself & following a 3year OE, started Lifebuilt Construction/Joinery. After joining CBANZ in 2009, I have worked on the Auckland Committee since 2010 and served as Interim President for Auckland last year.
	EASTERN REGION TBA
	CENTRAL REGION Roger Duncan – Roger Duncan Builder Ltd I am the CBANZ Board Representative for the Central Region which consits of Waikato, Whakatane, Rotorua, Tauranga and surrounds.
	WESTERN REGION To be announced
	COOK STRAIGHT REGION Brian Ludlow – Ludlow Builders Ltd Brian Ludlow is a Director of Ludlow Builders Limited, established in 1989 and is a founding member of the Certified Builder’s Association, committee member and past president of the Cook Strait Region. Brian is a current Board member representing the Cook Strait Region. He has a long-term commitment to the industry and a particular interest in maintaining a high level of workmanship through training and education.
	UPPER SOUTH REGION Brent Chatterton - Chatterton Builders Limited I have been building for 14 years and started my own company, Chatterton Builders, in 1998. We specialise in architectural builds and alterations but undertake a wide range of building work, which now includes earthquake repairs and rebuilds. I have been on the Canterbury CBANZ committee for 4 years.  This is my first term on the CBANZ Board.
	SOUTHERN REGION Dallas Shaw – D S Building Ltd I was elected on to the CBANZ board in June 2011 after being a Platinum Member for 7 years.  I have 16 years building experience, covering residential, commercial and rural  construction and currently run D S Building Limited in the greater Dunedin area.
	PAST CHAIRMAN Allan Shaw – Atrium Homes Past Chairman of CBANZ and a member for 10 years, serving 5 years on the Board.  40 years experience in the building industry and Managing Director of Atrium Homes for 12 years.  I am committed and passionate about the future of our industry through advocacy, education and communication with our members.
	ADDITIONAL DIRECTOR Geoff Hardy – Madison Hardy I am a commercial lawyer with an LLM and an MBA, and 36 years’ experience. I specialise in construction law, and I represent builders throughout New Zealand.  I have served on the CBANZ board as an additional director since 2005.
